A day on the desk ## The market’s rhythm sets our working day The day-ahead market timetable shapes how our teams spend the day. Below is a typical day for the trading and operations teams. Morning Updating forecasts Overnight weather and demand data refresh generation and price forecasts, and the day’s position is reviewed. Late morning Day-ahead bids Bids for all 24 hours of the next day are prepared, checked within the team and submitted before gate closure. Afternoon Results and scheduling Based on day-ahead results, next-day generation schedules and battery cycles are finalised and notified. All day Intraday and balancing Gaps between forecast and actual output are closed on the intraday market, and imbalance risk is tracked hour by hour. Evening Review Results, deviations and costs for the day are reported.
